Create opaque credential references

Declare system, environment and explicit file references without resolving values or reading a credential store.

secrets_references.aner
// Runnable without configured credentials: creates references and prints opaque handles.
// No store is read, no credential is written, and no network request is made.
import aner.secrets

let stored = secrets.stored("example-service-key")
let environment = secrets.env("EXAMPLE_SERVICE_KEY")
let managed_file = secrets.file("example-service-key")
print(stored)
print(environment)
print(managed_file)

Make it your experiment.

With Aner installed, save this program as examples/secrets_references.aner inside a folder for your experiment. Open a terminal in that folder, then check and run the program.

Terminal
aner check examples/secrets_references.aner
aner run examples/secrets_references.aner

The aner command must be on your PATH. Follow the installation guide if your terminal cannot find it.

Use a compatible installed native Aner executable. This configuration example does not send network requests, open a listener, or resolve credential values. Keep any real settings private when adapting it.
